These sound decent and have some cool features via the Bose app, but they aren't nearly as comfortable as I wish they were. Design peaked at the QC25s.

If you have a big head, get from a place that does easy returns or go try them at a store first.

I bought a refurbished pair from Bose a while ago, and the sound quality for the average user wasn't that more impressive than the regular QuietComfort, also the lack of physical buttons for the "premium" model seems counterintuitive. Overall for the price, I wasn't impressed, my old QC35's performed the same without the added features of the Bose app provides the Ultra

Best I got was $317 taxes included trading in a broken Bose 15 through Bose official website. That was a steal.

Are these different from gen1? I wear size xl bike helmet but have no comfort issue with the headphone even on a 12+ hour flight.

I was always a fan of the QC35s for sure. I think Bose has let the competition creep up while they rested on their laurels. I also hated that most of my Bose devices won't sync up properly with YT and that's why I ultimately went away from them!
