Either way, it's cheap as hell.
The TSC makes just about every compromise to get at the lower price, but I don't think you can find anything as large for $320-400
It isn't a piece of junk, that's for sure.
The biggest compromise is the depth difference, and the thickness of the steel didn't seem too drastic, unless you're really tough on your tools.
The slides were OK, but they also seemed to close with no extra effort. I didn't check if they were auto closing in the specs, but they did close without me pushing them all the way in.
So the tsc is a compromise, but you're not getting anything close to that large for so little
**EDIT** Looks like they are soft close, and can confirm it
**EDIT2** I should mention I couldn't test the TSC casters as the chest is tied to the wall behind it

This Tractor Supply 42 inch 13 drawer combo is a large, budget friendly toolbox that stands out for home garage storage and weekend projects. The soft close drawers, workable layout, and 18 inch depth make it fit smaller garages well, and the assembled unit feels solid enough for light use. The main tradeoffs are thinner steel, basic slides, and a shallower top than deeper Harbor Freight options. At $399, especially with extra rewards savings, it lands as a strong value for casual use.
Soft-close drawers can make everyday access smoother for light tool storage use.
The deal can be strong when rewards discounts or extra percentage-off pricing apply.
The chest can feel like a good space-and-layout option for home weekend projects.
The 18-inch depth can help fit a garage layout and reduce door-hit risk.
Thinner metal and basic slides can limit performance for heavy or professional shop use.
The assembled unit can feel shallow or thin compared with expectations at around a $400 MSRP.
The chest can arrive damaged, including a hole near the handle, with poor resolution reported.
The online store-pickup price can show higher than the advertised add-to-cart price.
