I got bit by this after buying Galaxy buds from woot and they failed after 7 months. Too bad, so sad, $120 down the drain.

I loved the wingtips on the pixel buds but they failed after a couple years.
Probably worse, the MAIN difference I have noticed about these vs my pros is that the Pros are much better for conversations. And sorry I don't have a great answer for you on the blocking, I'm not in loud environments often enough to care about much other than mic quality.
Yeah to some extent, I found the term you need to use for searches though. Environmental Noise Cancellation. ENC.

For reference, I have the PBP1 and PBP2, both of which have a tendency to fall out compared to the PBa with the wingtips, so I prefer the PBas for anything active.
To answer your question, I haven't used them extensively yet, but they stayed in without issue on a 5-mile run yesterday and I'd say they're at least as good as the PBas for me when it comes to staying put. They stick out (have more depth), so if that's a consideration, it is a drawback. Some other differences I've notice: if paused, a double tap does not resume playback and they don't have same 'venting' as the PBas do, so you hear more internal noise during activity (occlusion effect). The battery life is of course way better and they hardly drain the battery if you leave them out of the case, unlike the PBas.
