Samsung Galaxy Buds Core ANC are positioned as a strong value pair for everyday listening, workouts, and quick replacement needs. The sound and fit draw praise, with solid staying power on runs, dust and sweat resistance, and battery life that holds up well. ANC is present, though it can feel less noticeable than on some other models, and conversation quality is not as strong as the Galaxy Buds Pro line. The international model also brings warranty uncertainty, so this is best for shoppers comfortable with that tradeoff.

Common Questions (5)

  • They are described as very good for the price and comparable to Galaxy Buds FE for everyday use, but the Pro model is better for conversations. ANC is present, though one comparison says it is less noticeable than on the SE model and another notes fewer hissing or wind-noise issues than some Buds FE pairs.

  • The international model is reported to have no real Samsung warranty in the U.S., since it was not released here by Samsung Electronics America. That makes the low price more appealing, but it also means you are buying at your own risk if something fails later.

  • They can stay put well during activity, including a 5-mile run, and are reported to be at least as secure as Galaxy Buds FE-style wingtip models. They also stick out more and can create more occlusion noise during exercise, so fit and comfort may differ from the FE.

  • Yes. The search term to look for is Environmental Noise Cancellation, or ENC, which is the call-noise-reduction feature relevant here.

  • They may show up as an invalid model or serial number when you try to register them, especially with international units. In at least one case, the issue was resolved after cleaning the buds, so registration problems are not always permanent.

What does these being "International Model" mean? Just that Samsung won't honor US warranties? Are there any functional differences?
I just got a set from Woot when this was posted previously. The label on mine said "United Arab Emirates". Probably diverted to be sold here due to the regional conflic. Everything was written in English. I'm very happy with them.

they seem just as good as my previous set. I haven't had a chance to see how long the battery lasts but it seems to hold up as well as the previous

The ANC on the SE seems to be better. I don't really notice the ANC kicking in on these

In Asia $40 is the MSRP.
So this isn't a deal at all.

It is a deal because they are available here, out of their target market, and because they are priced lower that similar competing products. In the $40 range, these are arguably a better choice than many or even most.

here is a concept that will be completely lost on you and in fairness the majority of people on this website.. for many people, their time is worth much more than saving a few dollars or even $10.. crazy concept. I know, took me years to figure this out as well.

agreed.. it's a solid deal if you need a quality pair now.. and don't want to wait month(s) for something you use every single day and dont want to settle for very low end set

Note that the only real difference is the lack of any real warranty.I got bit by this after buying Galaxy buds from woot and they failed after 7 months. Too bad, so sad, $120 down the drain.
You're telling me... I bought a refurbished galaxy note 4 from woot and it gave out in the second month... like you freaking kidding me? They said sorry its past the 30 days return window... i held onto that phone for YEARS until recently when tmobile was doing free pixel 10 phone with trade in in any condition... thank God I got something out of that damn woot purchase

No. I have the Galaxy Wear app on my Pixel phone for my Galaxy Watch and for my Galaxy Buds FE.

It also seems that Samsung is removing Buds support from the app and moving it to Bluetooth setting. Not sure if this is on Galaxy phones only or on all Android devices. It's good not having to use an extra app, but confusing as hell if you are used to using the app and expect to find your earbuds there.
