JUST AN FYI, the set I managed to find had batteries that WONT CHARGE this is because the batteries and charger are from 2021.Its stamped on the package, batteries and charger.Went back to the store and alllll the products they had are from 2021.THE GOOD NEWS is that they are under warranty and if you already bought the set or any of Porter Cable closeouts then you just need to contact the company and get the local service centers phone number to put in a claim as I have through Email. They will ask you to write SCRAP and a date on them and take pictures of the battery(s) from all sides along with the receipt.Waiting for the shipping information on the replacements.Good Luck!

Don't buy this. Tractor supply is getting rid of all their Porter Cable power tools and replacing them with Skil 20v. Porter Cable is dead. This is the last store that I was aware that carried them and they are just brushed garbage Black&Decker tools with Porter Cable colors and banging. For $79, you can get a Skil 20v brushless impact driver and drill combo with a 2Ah battery and a charger, or for $99, you can get the Craftsman RP Drill and Impact Driver Kit with 2 1.5Ah batteries and a charger. I think best option is to pay $139 on Amazon to get the Flex 24v compact drill and impact driver combo kit (model # FXM205-2A), which comes with the drill, impact driver, two 2.5Ah 24v batteries, a 160w charger and a very nice carrying bag. Flex's 24v compete dirrect with Milwaukee, Dewalt and Makita, and times Flex's tool s are best than the other three brand. I own this exact set and it is awesome. They are relatively compact and lightweight, but still have plenty of power. Porter Cable is the true bottom of the barrel, the Skil and Craftman RP Brushless are solid DIY tools, but the Flex combo kit destroys them in every possible metric you can you look at.

I agree that the Flex is a better deal, but I have had this Porter Cable set for 10 years and they have done everything I have asked of them, including building a 20x40 storage building.
Don't use the drill as a screw gun like I did with the first one the clutch will fail eventually, but using the impact for screws and the drill to umm drill these will last. I was sad to see Lowe's drop them. I have no complaints about porter cable tools other than abuse of the drill.

Except for Makita, all of these consumer brands are either Stanley Black & Decker or TTI (Tektronic).
That being said, there are 42 one-star reviews, most of which complain about the batteries not taking a charge.
Might be worth it to open them in store and plug them in for a few minutes to check before you leave the store.

All porter cable prices at tractor supply makes me want to switch back over right now lol
Don't do it. Porter cable cordless tools have been shuffled around, rebranded, and moved from store to store for years now. There is ZERO reason to buy this over ryobi.
