My roommate just bought this set and it's already all scratched up--These are made with teflon (PTFE) so one little scratch and you're ingesting forever chemicals.

Bought this a few months ago, to complement our new Induction range. Must say - the best cookware we have ever owned! We tossed out ALL the stuff we had accumulated and bought more Carote pieces.
The taupe color is very attractive, the fit and finish of these pieces are exceptional, and the non-stick coating works as well or better than anything we have tried. We use the types with fixed handles - they also offer a line with removable handles ( for compact storage).
Thanks OP - I highly recommend this set and this line of cookware. No idea how they do it for the price.
I agree that the Carote taupe cookware I have bought today has been exceptional for the price. I too have no idea how they do it, I'm just glad they do. Thank you for the Post. I'm definitely going to consider it.

This is good cookware that lasts about 2 years as long as you never cook abovee medium heat and use wood to plastic spatulas only. For the price it's great, but once scratched it's time to throw away to avoid chemical intake

Walmart Question response says no PTFE, and there is no Calif required warning of PTFE, and they are marketed as ceramic which usually implies no PTFE. And these dont have the gray appearance of typical teflon-based cookware. So how do you come to think these ones have PTFE?

Ceramic coatings are generally not ptfe, they're silica mixes.
Ptfe is inert in solid form. The problem is if you overheat it and it offgases, thats the stuff u dont want to ingest ( breathe in) and will kill birds in the house.
Either way, it's always great having a few nonstick pans for low temp cooking like for breakfast eggs.

You can get same price or cheaper on Amazon or Tiktok. The MSRP is a joke.
Do a search for them on here too. They get posted 3-5 times a week, always the same price, in some combination roughly similar to this. Its ridiculous.

They must have upgraded to the super schill plan...definitely posted by staff very often.

Do a little research. Not that anyone WANTS to ingest PTFE, but Teflon is largely harmless in its "flaky" form, it's not harmful until temps above 500-ish, after which it's a serious health hazard.
