KitchenAid's ribbed silicone oven mitt set stands out for heat protection, grip, and a roomy fit that works well for larger hands. The mitts are described as a big upgrade over cloth towels and cheap mitts, with strong handling on 500 degree cast iron and no heat felt even after years of use. Color accuracy can be off, since the lavender cream version reportedly looks gray, and the polyester content drew criticism. A practical pick for safer everyday oven use.

  • Home cooks handling hot cast iron, because the silicone grip stays secure and can handle 500-degree cookware without heat transfer.

  • Anyone replacing cloth towels for oven use, because these work as a safer, more practical upgrade.

    ScarletFuel4913sobitthen

  • People with larger hands, because the mitts fit better than cheap alternatives that never fit properly.

    wedgietime

  • People worried about trapped hot liquid, because the glove can hold spilled liquid against skin and cause severe burns.

    WittyMusic1046

  • Shoppers expecting the pictured color, because the lavender cream version can arrive looking gray.

Got these in the dark blue color. Great quality. I originally got the lavender cream color, but it was really just gray.

I also got this from a recent deal and they're alright. No complaints. Nice upgrade from trying to use cloth towels

Not as good a deal as they used to be but far and away the best oven mitts I've ever used. Zero problems with grip or handling 500 degree cast iron.

If I did not already have a set of oven mitts like these I would be all over as there is nothing better than being safe using an oven..

100% true and 100% recommended. I have had my set for a few years, never felt any heat when using them.

I got these last year, same color too. I was worried because the cheap junky mitts I would always get never fit my hands but these are big hand approved!
