Bought the 2 drill deal and the batteries wouldn't charge because they 5 years old and from what porter told me that's what happens when they haven't been charged for a long time.
BUT, I did a search and found a way to jump start them to get them to charge and it works. Here are the instructions, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SOe...p=2AFgkAIB

Porter Cable at Tractor Supply looks like a cheap way to pick up basic cordless and corded tools for home use, especially drills, impacts, saws, grinders, and even the corded angle grinder and recip saw. The tools are described as solid for occasional projects, and the batteries can be adapted to Black and Decker or Ridgid setups with a little modification or an adapter. Availability is the big catch, with many items showing out of stock or clearance status, and some batteries arriving too old to charge normally. It works best if you already have compatible batteries or can find local stock.
Common Questions (5)
Many Porter-Cable items are showing out of stock and unavailable for shipping, even across multiple zip codes, and the line appears to be getting cleared out in some stores. A few locations still have inventory, so local availability can vary by store.
If you already own DeWalt, Ryobi, Bosch, or other cordless platforms, the Porter-Cable line may be less attractive because it is being phased out and can leave you with an orphan battery system. Some shoppers avoid that by using battery adapters or by sticking to corded Porter-Cable tools instead.
The brushed Porter-Cable drill, impact, recip, and flashlight sets are described as solid homeowner tools for occasional projects, with good results for basic household and car work. They are not as powerful or refined as DeWalt brushless tools, but they can be a practical budget choice for infrequent use.
Porter-Cable 20V batteries are essentially the same as Black+Decker 20V batteries, but a small plastic notch may need to be shaved off to fit. That makes the batteries usable across both systems if you are comfortable with the modification.
Older Porter-Cable batteries can fail to charge after long storage, especially around five years old, but a jump-start workaround can revive them enough to charge again. Warranty replacement is another option if the batteries are still covered.

The corded angle grinder, recip saw, and hammer drill are very tempting. Cheap throw around tools that you wouldn't mind your friends borrow.
Looks like they're all available for delivery in my area. Delivery comes out to $15 for all three tools.
They were great as a basic homeowner set. Installed many things in/around the house + the cars. Never had an issue.
Now... when I use my father's tools (DeWalt Brushless) I can absolutely tell the difference in quality and torque output etc.... but for something I use maybe 3-4 times a year... great investment.
