The Speedwoofer 10e comes across as a strong value ported sub for small offices, 2.1 desktop setups, and modest home theater rooms, with enough output to pair well with bookshelf speakers and even support a second sub later. It is praised for punchy, weighty bass, good music performance, and a wider, smoother response than some sealed rivals, while RSL's customer service and resale value add to the appeal. The main tradeoffs are its large footprint for a 10 inch driver, limited deep bass below about 26 hertz, and no Bluetooth. A solid fit when space and ultra low bass are not the priority.
Owners wanting a second sub for smoother room coverage, because dual placement evens out bass across seats and reduces peaks and nulls.
Apartment or office listeners pairing bookshelf speakers, because it adds strong bass without needing extreme gain and sounds incredible in smaller rooms.
Home-theater beginners building their first real bass setup, because it delivers an easy entry point that can stay in the system long term.
Movie-focused listeners in medium rooms, because the ported design gives more output and weighty bass than a sealed sub.
Music-first listeners in small enclosed rooms, because the ported design can sound less satisfying than a sealed sub for undistracted music.
Listeners expecting deep subsonic bass, because it only reaches about 26 Hz and will not deliver strong felt output below 20 Hz.
People needing a tiny cabinet for tight placement, because the enclosure is large for a 10-inch driver and can be hard to hide.
Buyers who want proven long-term reliability, because one report says the amp plate died after a few months and support never replied.

I know enough about subs to get in trouble.
But to me there is a HUGE difference between a 10" and a 12". And it comes down to user preference. I find the bigger the SUB the sloppier the bass but I like that! I find a 10" just does not hit hard enough for me.
So driver size mainly matters when you're comparing two subs from the same manufacturer and same model line where all the other factors are similar. Yes the RSL 12S would be a huge improvement over both the 10e and 10S, and a Monolith M12 vs M10, etc.
I had one. Not against the wall. It's a very obvious rear-ported sub. Movies? Fine. Music? not so much. Real estate for only 10"? Large.
Anyway...hope you can move on. Didn't mean to bring your world crashing down with a simple note to someone, not even you, regarding the size of this 10" sub.

I find 15" is just TOO MUCH.
But I still stand by my words. I have a 10" and I have upgraded to a 12" and I felt there was a world of difference. And my ten inch had a 10" passive radiator to boost the base and still did not come close to the 12". And sure ported enclosure will sounds louder but that louder is nothing compared to the extra 2" in subwoffer size.
My philosophy is a subwoofer is like a diamond... you want to go BIG AND DIRTY vs small and clean.

15" (or larger) SEALED otoh is what I'd do if I were buying sealed for an HT setup. For music a smaller sealed sub (or two) will do.
4"? Just say "oops, I forgot to add the extended length". Lol....genius.
Correct, moving it from the wall can reduce boominess to a point...making a large cabinet take up even more of your room. Which was my point in the first place. But it can't redirect the rear output.

Lol, "appear"? You're triggered, bro. Like that Superman something....he lives to argue. I remember you both from some Elac thread recently.
Anyway...hope you can move on. Didn't mean to bring your world crashing down with a simple note to someone, not even you, regarding the size of this 10" sub.
Anyway, my point still stands---your size complaint about a miniscule 10" sub is laughable. To bring some REAL WORLD context into this, here are dimensions of some popular ported and sealed subs:
RSL 12S, 22.75H x 18.87W x 22.25D
Hsu VTF-2, 21.5H x 15W x 24D
Hsu VTF-3, 25H x 17.25W x 24D
Hsu ULS15, 19H x 18W x 19.5D
SVS PB1000 Pro, 19H x 15W x 20D
SVS PB17 Ultra, 25H x 21.7W x 29.3D
Plenty of folks have no problem making space for these true behemoths. Not everyone is a prisoner of WAF.
But at least you learned some math.
