I was told a lot of recipes/attachments are with the 6 QT in mind and you'll have to do a bit of liquid adjustment if you get the 8 QT, not a big deal but just in case.

compared to something like the duo, the pro has an inner pot with handles and a flat base, and can go on a regular stove top for faster sauteing

I read in another thread that the pro models have a slightly better heating element compared to a regular 6 qt models which means they will cook super fast especially the pressure and saute modes.
