Which ones are good? Oral-B or Philips?

I like phillips because it covers more surface area.

We've owned both, including basically every series of the Sonicare including the kids. Nothing compares to the cleaning action of the sonicare imo.
I think the 6500 is the sweet spot in terms of performance and price. If you go higher you're paying for things like Bluetooth that I suspect most never use.
If you go lower you lose power settings and it doesn't clean as well imo.

That said, if you can get a model higher than the 6500 on sale, go for it.

And final comment, off brand brush heads on Amazon work just fine, usually. They're a WHOLE LOT CHEAPER and 9/10 brands we've tried work just fine but we have come across some that are either too tight or too loose. Amazon is really good about giving a returnless refund on those though so it's easy to just try some.
