We've had this set for a year or two now and really like it. The sharpener is cool and allows us to sharpen pretty much any plain edge kitchen knife, not just the ninjas.
This knife set is not for the kitchen pro but rather for that person that wants something that bridges the gap between a pro chef and a regular throw away set. No thought needed just use the knives and sharpen them when you need.
No signs of rust or discoloration after using for almost 2 years now and hand washing and drying.
