Don't jinx the one I've had for years using it inside and out.

This 20 inch Perfect Aire box fan stands out as a strong, low cost fan with sturdier pivoting feet than the usual plastic wedge style and enough power to punch above its price. It has also been used successfully for DIY air filtration with MERV filters, including Corsi Rosenthal box setups, and the claimed 1800ish max CFM suggests it should stay quieter than a shop fan. The main drawbacks are no handle, which makes it awkward to move, and availability issues that can push the total cost way up with shipping. A practical pick if you can find it locally.

  • The fan delivers strong airflow for a low-cost portable box fan.

  • The pivoting, stable feet provide sturdier support than wedge-style plastic feet.

    jm888998

  • The fan can be repurposed for dust filtration by zip-tying 1-inch MERV 5 filters to the back.

    samiam185

  • The fan can be used with higher-MERV filters to clear odors and germs quickly in rooms.

    webtitan

  • Shipping can add a large cost that makes the total price far higher than $18.99.

    Shredded_WheatWhiterabbit77

  • The fan may be hard to find locally even when store inventory shows in-stock status.

    AmusedMeal3503

  • The lack of a handle makes the fan annoying to move between rooms or locations.

    psuvette

  • Some shoppers report similar 20-inch box fans cost $4-$9 less at other retailers.

got a few to use as makeshift air filters for when I'm cleaning my store and kicking up a lot of dust. I zip tied 1 inch merv 5 filters to the back and it works decently

I have one of these too. I used merv 12 to clear odors and germs from rooms quickly. worked better than a $600 Rabbit Air 2 purifier.

Wanted one this size but with the tilt head for my garage workout area, but for $15 with a $5 coupon I had, this is too good to pass up. The 20" tilt head lasko I was looking at, the 3300, is $53 right now and I was gonna wait for a sale. Perfect Aire claims max CFM of 1800ish, so the good news is that this shouldn't be remotely as loud as any shop fan, for your information.

Can't find these locally despite the app saying they are in stock. I talked with the store manager directly as well, but he noted he wouldn't have any in stock in the near future either. Hoping I can use this for a CR box if I can find it around: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1602...1-standard
