I have had this a couple of years. Works well.
Pods are usually a bit more than kcup price. Not as many varieties available but there are some.
I think the "Blue" line tend to be most economical
Does it need specific cup? Or I can use all kinds of cups available in the market?
You could use any cup on the 3 options on the left of the dial(espresso, lungo and coffee). However, the options on the right require the included cup with the frother lid attached and inserted into the backwall of the machine behind the cup. If you do not use this, the blended options on the right will not be useable as the machine can detect when the lid is inserted.
I have this and like it more than k cups. It's a lot more consistent at brewing the same cup. The pods do cost more. I mainly use it for making cappuccinos.
