If you look at the price history of this knife, it hits this price several times per year. Still the lowest, but not a must have opportunity unless you really needed a bread knife.

Excellent bread knife. Have been using it for years. You can use it on tomatoes and other soft fruits and vegetables that can crush the item with heavier carving type knives that aren't razor sharp.

Pick up an old Cutco bread knife on eBay instead. You'll pay maybe $5 more. I thought all cutco was BS but my wife and I have been blown away by how silky smooth it cuts through any kind of bread.

This is not a good bread knife, got it in a knife set a decade ago. It tears soft bread instead of cutting it, leaving a ragged surface. Get a mercer millennia bread knife for a bit more, cuts way better. Other knives in the set were pretty good though.

Gotta love the Made in China stamped right underneath the Henkel's logo -- now that's a Statement Smilie ....

With these knives, check the logo and see how many figures you see. The One-Man is a budget-friendly line, typically made outside of Germany and stamped. The Two-Man (Zwilling) is the premium line, primarily forged in Germany and made with higher-end steel.

I got this Mercer 2 years ago. It was recommended by ATK. It is excellent. Mercer Culinary Millennia Colors Stainless Steel Bread Knife 10-Inch Wavy Edge Wide, Gray https://a.co/d/0jiptegw
