Eufy camera are good. However I have 3 outdoor solocams solar, two indoor plug cameras. And they loose connection frequently. I am not the only one with this problem. If you try to put on your WiFi they work great but don't get the advertised ai functions. And eufy will not listen to customer complaints

I have a bunch of Eufy cameras and I honestly just can't recommend them because of the non-stop connection issues I have with them. Homebase S380 is within 25ft of the cameras and I constantly have lag connecting to cameras even right next to the hub. My S100 cameras don't pick up anything worthwhile and don't have continuous recording. My garage floodlight camera almost never works. I have prosumer ubiquity APs with fiber internet, it's not my equipment.

The lack of continuous recording on the s100 cams or the doorbell cams is just mind boggling to me.

Community Reviews

This deal is for a three pack of eufy SoloCam S230 outdoor solar cameras, and the strongest appeal is the no subscription setup with solar charging and HomeBase support. The cameras can detect pets, people, and cars, and some setups report fast loading, solid battery life, and smooth operation with HomeBase 3. The main concern is reliability, with repeated reports of connection drops, lag, missed motion, and occasional dead units or charging failures. Packaging also appears inconsistent, with some orders arriving sealed and others including an open box unit, making it a practical pick if you are comfortable troubleshooting.

I loved eufy for the benefit of no subscription based model. I have a 3 indoor, 3 outdoor, a doorbell, and the eufy homebase, but in the last year or so they've become unreliable. They still show notifications, but often times I end up missing most of the motion. Trying to connect in and view takes FOREVER and more often than not it fails to connect. I am thinking of switching to another brand purely for their reliability and recording quality.

I read between the lines that the AI requires the hub. That is my assumption
Yeah on motion detection you can specify it to look for pets, people, cars.... Kinda creepy but you can name the familiar people, but without camera connecting to hub those don't work.... At least I have not gotten it to work if I have to switch cameras to wifi

Same here. Read somewhere else people were disconnecting the wifi inside the hub to force cameras through WiFi and they claim it works better
I am to chicken to try it but I am getting tired of the cameras sometimes connected sometimes not

what kind of sun are yours getting ? And what's the real world experience like with their battery+solar?
I have had them up since April and it seems they start charging about 92% (charge about every two days) I am in Idaho and it has been mostly sunny, maybe 2 days of clouds and rain at a time battery has not dropped below 92% with 11000 "detections" it says and I have spent time trying to tinking with cameras or trying to actively watch something. Have mine set to record clips I think of 2 mins each

I was going to buy however when I went to check out the Quantity was 1 for $95. I entered 3 and it came up as $285. Think I'll pass rather than get into a back and forth on ad mistakes, etc.

I tried using their HomeBase S3 and ran into multiple issues. Connectivity was one of them with and without WiFi. And it added a lot of latency, one to three seconds behind real time without the HomeBase, eight to 12 seconds with it. I tried it even after seeing a lot of user complaints of connectivity issues because some people do report it working well for them and because I wanted to try their security sensors, which works only via a HomeBase. If you decide to remove the HomeBase, you'll have to delete all the cameras that were on it (be sure to "remove" them before deleting the HomeBase in the app) and then re-sync them after deleting the HomeBase, which is a real pain if you have hard to access cameras.

This is probably the 3-Pack that they sell through Costco, customer returns.

I've been using Eufy C210s (SD card) and 3x Eufycam 2 (with homebase 2). Overall the homebase cameras are much faster to load and have far fewer issues, but obviously, they cost more. I also have an older Eufy doorbell that works well. Going forward I'll be buying only cameras that hook up to homebase 2 or 3 if I decide to upgrade the whole setup.

Qty of 1 in your cart indicates you are buying 1 set of 3 cameras.
