They do the same thing with phones. 128GB on a phone that can record 4K video.
256 or 512GB should have been the minimum several years ago on phones and laptops, but now I am sure prices would be even crazier for higher storage sizes.

256GB makes sense if you store most of your stuff on the cloud
Nobody should be storing only in cloud. Never forget the father sending the doc photos of his son and having all his precious memories stolen. Cloud = somebody else's computer.

Apple made it a really easy choice not to store to icloud, that sucker filled up quickly and my cheap @$$ turned that mofo off instantly and just keep my files on-device(s). Those annoying AF "Upgrade your icloud subscription" notifications were hella annoying.
I plug my iphone to my mac every once in a while to have a hard-backup on my laptop. All my photo's (that I want to keep) get air-dropped to my mac every so often as well.
I also backup my Mac every few months with TimeMachine backups.
So i'm 3x backed up with my files all in my personal possession 3 different devices and no need for an internet connection to access.
That's such a good price. Also good to see they boosted the RAM to 24 for the pro models. At those price points it felt silly to only have 16 for the base model.
Curious if i can check prices at individual warehouses when they are on clearance.

You can check the prices through the mobile app for a specific warehouse. However, sometimes they may have other stuff in-store which may not appear on the app.
