I got a 15" model earlier today at my local Costco for $600 (marked down from 799.97 earlier in the day). I was running multiple errands that day and stopped by a couple of times to see the change. I had actually bought at the 799.97 price earlier in the day and wanted to do a price adjustment once I saw the $600 mere hours later, but was told that they would refuse since the $600 price was on a different color variant. I wanted to avoid an open-box return, but their incentives seem broken. I was told they would just return the open-box one to Apple for credit. Pretty silly and the second time in less than a year I have had to do this due to inflexibility regarding the color variant price adjustments. Oh well, I guess someone is getting a basically untouched refurbished model from Apple in a few months.

Good for you that you got the deal. I had been watching for more of a drop but never saw that low of a drop.
One day they were in stock at bothe my local Costco's and next day they were gone. Maybe they dropped them that low and that's why. Unfortunate for me.
