Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are best known for class leading noise cancelling and very strong comfort, especially for flights, gym use, and long listening sessions. Sound quality is described as rich and detailed, and the fit can be improved with third party ear wings if they feel loose. The main drawbacks are short battery life, shaky Android app and pairing behavior, and weak call performance in noisy places. There is also a serious ownership risk if one earbud is lost, since replacement buds are not easily paired.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. They're described as excellent for flights, with noise cancelling that can be as good as or better than AirPods Max for travel. A good seal matters, and they can still let announcements through.
Yes. Android users report pairing problems, especially when removing one earbud or using the multi-device quick switch feature. Uninstalling the Bose app can reduce pairing issues, but it also removes access to some features.
They're repeatedly described as very comfortable, with no ear pain even after hours of use. Some users find them a little loose for walking, but third-party ear wings can make the fit snugger.
Battery life is commonly reported at about 4-5 hours per charge, which is shorter than many competing earbuds. A practical workaround is to recharge them in the case for about 30 minutes and use another Bose headset in the meantime.
Yes. The left and right buds are factory-locked together, so a lost or dropped single bud reportedly cannot be replaced with a standalone Bose or third-party bud. In that case, the remaining bud and case may be unusable unless you pay Bose for a trade-in replacement set.

I have not experienced any connection issues as some have. Had mine for a year, but I got an extra year of warranty through Amazon. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with them 99% of the time and it connects without issue.

Yeah, the sound quality and ANC are incredible, but there's a massive catch that 99% of people don't know until it happens to them. If you drop or lose just ONE earbud, you are completely screwed.
Unlike AirPods where you can just buy a replacement piece, Bose factory-locks the left and right buds together.
You CANNOT buy a single replacement bud from Bose.
You CANNOT buy a cheap replacement bud off eBay (the software permanently blocks them from pairing).
If you lose one, your good charging case and your other perfectly fine earbud become garbage. Your only option is to pay Bose a hefty ransom price to "trade in" your broken set for a brand new one.
This was a really costly mistake on my part. Look somewhere else for earbuds. Do not buy into an ecosystem that forces you to buy a whole new $200+ set just because you lost a 1-inch piece of plastic.
