CMF Buds 2 come across as a strong budget pick for sound, comfort, and everyday use, especially at about $24.50. The tuning gets praise for Dirac audio and Ultra Bass, the case and fit feel solid, and battery life is repeatedly called out as good. ANC is useful for lawn work, walking, and light traffic, and the app adds useful customization, including dual device pairing. The main limits are microphone consistency and noise blocking in louder places like gyms, trains, or Zoom calls. A practical value choice if you want inexpensive earbuds with punchy sound.

Common Questions (4)

  • At around $24.50 to $25, they are repeatedly described as a strong value, with good sound, decent ANC, comfortable fit, and solid battery life. Several comments say they are a better buy at this price than at $50-$60.

  • ANC is good for lawn equipment, street noise, and moderate wind, but it does not fully block loud music or very noisy gyms. It can be enough for commuting or outdoor use, yet loud transit and blasting gym audio can still come through.

  • The mic is serviceable in quiet rooms and can work outdoors with some wind, but it is not reliable in loud places like a gym. For Zoom or Teams, they can sound clear enough in normal conditions, though AirPods 4 and some higher-end alternatives are reported to do better.

  • Yes, they include Ultra Bass and Dirac tuning, and the app lets you customize controls, disable features, and control volume and music from the buds. They also support dual-device pairing when enabled in the app.

Pro 2 is just $37. Worth it?
This is the question I have as well. My daily drivers are the Samsung buds 2, and they barely last two hours per charge now (from the most used side). Not an audiophile by any account, but I'm used to dual drivers and phone calls are important. Any feedback is appreciated!

tempting but do I really need these? Maybe just for the color as a back-up for my zoom teams calls
In a quiet room, the microphones are serviceable. It could work even walking outside with some wind. Just avoid very noisy areas like a gym. The sound is better than most in this price range. I like it more than the KZ Carol Pro.

check the speaker holes for ear wax buildup. I've had that happen in multiple ear sets until I took a pin to them to clean them out
You just saved me $25 by trying this. How did I not think of it before wanting to buy again?

This one vs the one yesterday, Baseus Bass BP1 Pro which one is better? They are same price but that one has gift
I got the BP1 Pros a week ago and have been very impressed. Sound almost as good at my airpod pro 2s. They have Bluetooth 6, LDAC, and great battery life. Their ANC is pretty weak though and I wouldn't recommend for that function. The number of people here asking about them shows they are popular for a reason. Can't speak for these though...

Do they stay in your ear or do they fall out at the first sign of moisture or sweat?

Got these. Here's a quick review.

For the money they are great. Nice case, strong magnets, button for setting into pairing mode. The dial wheel is a headfake, it does nothing. They fit my ears well with the larger earbuds. NC works fairly well, not great, but well. You know it is on cause you get a thump when it enters NC mode. The app allows for a fair amount of customization. They can pair with two devices (but you have to set that mode in the app). Sound is good, not great, but quite listenable. Sound quality on a call is digital but ok. Very happy for the price.

I asked Google to compare these against the Soundcore p31i and the response is posted below:

The Anker Soundcore P31i is the better choice for frequent airplane rides. It provides superior overall noise cancellation for low-frequency jet engines, longer single-charge battery life, and superior mic quality for layover calls. The CMF Buds 2 have punchier bass, but fall short on isolation and battery endurance.

Only useable in quiet or slightly windy conditions with light traffic. I would not use it in a loud gym type of environment with music blasting. Microphone quality is passable but AirPods 4 microphone is a bit better. Sound between this and the pro are negligible. Get the pro for the case to adjust volume.

I was an early adopter of the nothing ear also. They barely lasted one year and warranty support is trash. They don't repair or fix once out of warranty because they End of life so fast
Same for me, I had my set of Ear (1) replaced several months after purchase when the charging case stopped taking a charge. The replacement set just recently stopped holding a charge, it goes dead within a day. The buds stay charged but don't activate when removed from a dead case. And then my right bud only lasts about an hour now with a max charge of 85% (probably not even that in reality). I'm at 1.5 years with them and Nothing told me they don't have replacements for the cases, and to look for a 3rd party vendor. I submitted a claim through my credit card that extends the warranty another year, we'll see how that goes.

In the meantime, $24 for a set that might only last a year is what I'll go with. My ear 1's are really comfortable and I really like the sound, so hopefully these are similar.
