The tool without battery is only 199. I don't think a 2ah battery is worth 80 more

Tool only is the better deal. I got mine from Fasteners (199 - memorial day discount = 185 or so). Honestly worth the 199 and probably more if you need the functionality and it's not a discount time.
Much easier to handle than the pole saw, far longer than the pole hedge trimmer, and you probably don't want to be cutting larger branches from that far.

I didn't know these existed till now. I have been using a cordless pole saw for years which is what I think of when I see pole pruner.

I wonder if it's better for one with cord for better power.

They have had these for years in other brands for years.
Now that team yellow has one out here, the rest should follow soon.
I'll have to wait because I refuse to get into another battery platform.

How is the weight on this unit.
Think an 80yo woman could handle this for 20 to 30 minutes at a time?
I haven't gotten my mom the pole saw attachment because of the weight.

So the home depot price is showing up as $174 Father's day deal for me.
Also, Bomgaars has this on sale for $209.99 + free 5Ah battery and free store pickup if you are a Bomgaars loyalty member.

Any reason to do this over the Brushless Cordless Battery Powered Pole Saw at same price?
