Very respectfully, I don't believe this Ninja blender and the Costco blender are made of different plastics. Just to be safe, I asked Gemini and it noted they were made of the same materials (containers, blades, cups, etc). If you received one that was defective or poor materials, use the Costco lifetime guarantee policy and return it (sorry that happened to you!)
We got the Costco one and love it as well. Use it multiple times a day and zero complaints
