This is the last generation of this model for those unaware. This was replaced by the Oracle Jet and also the dual-boiler model has come out. Great machine regardless

there are people who pay TWO THOUSAND to TWENTY-EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS for an espresso machine!? I've had my $200 machine for about 10 years now, it makes fantastic espresso without fussing and has continued to do with with minimum maintenance (the occasional descale and full hand-wash of all components every couple months). Don't get me wrong, i'm not some cheapskate (though I do enjoy a good deal), but adding a zero and receiving what I presume is similar product is crazy.

I have this machine, and it's not worth the price. You are basically paying for convenience, but the built in grinder is not good with dosing. This was meant to be a semiautomatic machine, but I find myself still having to single dose for accuracy. Also, the built-in mechanism for puck press, will give you channeling, so you'd have to re-prep the puck even, if you are serious about flavor. In retrospect, I would have purchased a Barista express, and spent the extra money on a nice grinder. Don't get this machine if you are serious about your espresso! It's nice on paper, and in theory, but not practically.
