It's a decent starter kit for the money. It has more sockets and wrenches compared to the $99 Craftsman 256-Pc set. The Craftsman has more specialty bits. You can get a set of those bits cheap for a drill.

It makes sense for a starter kit. People who are buying something like this are getting it for the house. They most likely have a drill/impact combo kit and that's about it.

The true test is can you tip it on its side without the whole kit exploding inside?

Its a a great kit, tested by Project Farm and it beat everything else! I got this one without 1/2 sockets cause it comes with good rachet wrenches. I got 1/2 Impact sockets kit from Vevor for bigger sockets, which I use mainly impact anyway.

This kit has the more expensive rachet wrenches, vs the 1/2 kit version that has regular wrench, so they just left out 1/2 to keep price lower, IMO. Might as well get impact 1/2 sockets anyways.

Hate the fluff in these sets. Get rid of the bits and allen wrenches for more sockets and wrenches. Just padding the numbers

If you work on modern cars, the bits and allen wrenches are often a necessity.

Everyone is calling this a starter kit. It's actually a well thought out travel kit to have in the trunk or back seat. TBH, you don't "need" any 1/2" sizes for modern vehicles. So, not a full comprehensive kit for at home or shop, but it's perfect for having all the essentials for roadside emergencies.
