The lowest price for this was $70, after tax, roughly 5 years ago. I think this is the lowest it will go from now on due to inflation and what not. It is a great set weighing around 20 pounds altogether

My kids have been all over these for a couple years and it's held together. I would probably have gone with the paperback version for everyday use and saved these, but it's too late now and it gets use about once a week, excellent price and product. Bought another as a gift.

I got these years ago when they first came out and yeah they aren't super sturdy and also each volume is pretty heavy and unwieldy for everyday reading. Wish I had gone paperback

Lowest price was $39.99 at Borders 5 or 6 years ago.... bought a zillion of them for conventions that I set up at...
edit: Barnes and Nobles..i mix those up all the time..

I got this same set but in paperback and it's fantastic. I donated all my old editions that were taking up so much space. Hopefully someone else can enjoy them now. This is set is convenient and looks great.

I got the complete set for myself years before my daughter was born, then bonded with her over them when she was a kid. I've pretty much converted to digital books now, but this I keep.

Heh. 5 or 6 years ago. Try 15. The last Borders closed in 2011.

90 bucks for this set isn't bad at all. The 7 paperbacks will probably run you more than that even with deals.
