Bought the higher level version from Walmart and the machine was junk. Slow and blue screen of death, atleast Walmart took it back.

In what way was it junk? Do you have a link to the model so I could compare it? This one has an Asrock motherboard (ASRock B760M-C/D4)which I tend to think positively of Asrock.

Thanks for the follow up! It seems the newegg one is no longer $550. The one you bought is nicer even though the CPU is a little older than the newegg deal. Yours had double the ram and a newer/better GPU. I would probably blame the patriot nvme drive for your problems. It seems to be a cheaper dramless nvme. I would have tried to reinstall windows or swap the drive which either of those isn't exactly beginner friendly.
