The 98 inch TCL QM6K Pro is a huge 4K QD mini LED TV that stands out for strong picture quality, especially deep blacks and surprisingly good viewing angles. The wall mounted setup also looks great, and the included installation has been smooth for some. Pricing has been the main sticking point, with in store prices reported from $1299 to $1699 and recent sales around $1500. The newer QM7K is also being held up as the better step up. A solid large screen option if the price lands near the lower end.
Home theater viewers who want strong dark-room contrast, because the blacks can look almost OLED-like.
In-store prices mentioned range from about $1,299 to $1,699, with some short-lived drops to around $1,500. The current $1,799.98 deal is higher than those earlier sale prices, so it may be worth waiting if you can.
The TV has been described as surprisingly sharp in-store with very good viewing angles, and the blacks have been called almost OLED-like. That makes it a strong-looking large-screen option, though one comment notes it may be pricey for a QM6-class model.
The install can depend on how the order is booked and priced online, and one buyer noted their online price did not end up being free install. The installers were still described as great, and the TV looked good mounted on the wall.
A 98" QM7K is reported to outperform this model, and one comment suggests spending about $200 more for it. If you plan to install the TV yourself, expect to need 2 to 3 people because of the size.
Yes. Several times, though often for short durations. I've been waiting for it to drop to those levels again. If you don't need it installed it was $1500 in my store a few days ago.

I really regret not getting this when it was 1299 but the logistics put me off. The new version is out now they changed the last letter to L for this year's models
i guess the install wasent free since that included online but at a higher price, no big deal. my installers were great, i received mine today and looks great on my wall

Meh, spend $200 more and get the QM7K. I own the 98" QM7K and it blows this out of the water.
PS- Through some retailers, such as Best Buy, you may get free delivery and installation. You need 2, and preferably 3, people if you're installing it yourself.

This was $1300-$1500 between February to March, including at Best Buy (slightly different without the "anti-glare" film). Yes, I know, war and gas prices, inflation, etc., but this is a TV that is likely being replaced soon and shouldn't be costing more than it did during random sales 3 months ago.

Home theater viewers who want strong dark-room contrast, because the blacks can look almost OLED-like.
Large-screen buyers who care about wide seating positions, because the image has very good viewing angles.
Wall-mounted TV owners who want professional setup, because the installation experience can be smooth and the screen looks great on the wall.
Shoppers prioritizing punchy picture quality over a lower-tier model, because the image can look surprisingly good in store.
Value-focused buyers who track sale history, because the price has already been lower in-store during recent short periods.
DIY installers working alone, because moving and mounting this size can require two or three people.
Picture-quality upgraders comparing against a higher model, because the next model up can outperform this one by a wide margin.
