Anker's F3800 power hub bundle is a portable home backup and off grid power system that stands out for RV, EV, and outage use. The original F3800 keeps both a NEMA L14 30 and 14 50 port, while the Plus model shifts to the L14 30R and adds faster charging and EV auto connection support. Real world use includes running fridges, office gear, and server racks for hours, with solar and generator charging helping stretch runtime. The main cautions are that 240 volt loads can stop charging, startup surge can be an issue, and the solar panel inclusion has been inconsistent in the listing and cart.
The bundle can include the 200W portable solar panel when the order is placed.
The system can function as an outage UPS for server racks and household appliances.
The system can support scheduled charging strategies that help reduce battery time sitting charged.
On-grid users with TOU/TOD electricity pricing can potentially reduce energy costs over time.
The deal listing can appear to exclude the solar panel, showing only the double hub and a free cover.
Using the hub to run a 240V appliance can prevent charging, which can drain batteries faster.
Starting a 240V AC unit may require a high-surge setup, and the hub's output may overload during compressor startup.
The listing's "10 year product life" claim may conflict with expectations for LFP battery longevity.
