Community Reviews

Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy is a grill brush aimed at easy grate cleaning, and it can work well when kept wet as directed. The brush has been praised for cleaning grills without issues, and the price is notably lower than Costco in some areas. Store pricing and stock vary a lot by location, though, and the design has drawn complaints about a loose, floppy head, a handle that gets in the way, grease buildup, tearing after first use, and possible metal shards. A practical option if your store has it and you are comfortable with the tradeoffs.

Common Questions (4)

  • The clearance price varies a lot by store, ranging from $7.48 to $23.94 in the comments. Some locations also showed regular pricing or no stock, so checking local inventory is necessary.

  • It can clean a grill effectively when kept wet, and the instructions call for using a bucket of cold water because it may melt. It also gets loaded with grease on a Blackstone, making the brush itself hard to clean afterward.

  • It can be awkward on some grills because the head flops around and the top handle can get in the way. Older Weber Spirit grills with triangle grates were specifically mentioned as a poor fit.

  • The brush may shed small metal shards and leave remnants on the cooking surface. That makes it worth inspecting carefully before use, especially if you are concerned about debris on the grate.

Check reviews on youtube. Some reviews find that this thing does shed little shards of metal and could leave remnants on your cooking surface.
Maybe it'll break down some of the micro plastics in my system!

My scrubber tore after the first use. Returned it.
Agreed, i have it and it sucks. The clip is loose, so as you scrub the grill it flops back and forth. And the handle on the top was in the way, couldnt fit it in my grill as-is.

I recently used this to clean my Blackstone. The problem is, how do I then clean this scrubber?? It is full of grease and no matter what I do I can't get it all out.

Top rack of dishwasher (after removing the scrubbing head) is the easiest.

All the Home Depots in the Central Part of Florida north of Orlando each have at least 50 of these in stock at each store and selling for just under $30. Probably not on clearance here in Florida as Grilling Season outdoors is 365 days a year.

I've seen these clearance deals pop up now and again for years, it always says click the link "See In-Store Clearance Price". THAT LINK DOES NOT EXIST!

Update: if you don't see that link, try "check nearby stores" if it's in stock and nearby you'll see that and if it's on clearance you'll see a little badge that says "on clearance in store".

At least 2 boxes of these on the shelves above at HD Durham NC on North Pointe Drive 27705. They only have the the new model on display below at $24.99. Asked a sales rep because it indicates 18 in stock.

So it isn't any better than even the worst offenders of brushes? Blah

the link does exist. in stores that have it on clearance a little popup appears showing the in-store price. Maybe your browser is blocking it?
