I looked into these last time they dropped in price. While arlo products generally are pretty solid, they have all but killed their free use platform. So if you want to use these budget cameras you now need to pay them for the service.

If you want a good alternative in the same range check out the TP-Link Kasa or Tapo lines or Reolink if you want to have it entirely self hosted.
