The micro SD card doesn't come with anything included, and you have to set it up yourself, but there are many videos on YouTube.

No, and you don't want them to.

Most of the games they would include are shovelware.

If they start including real licensed games (especially from Nintendo), I would worry about it being a honeypot.

Amazing device for the price. Got it last time for $142 out of pocket with cashback from your favorite cashback site.

Been playing the first .dothack game and spent a couple of hours testing things like GameNative and GameHub for Steam games. Also tested ROCKNIX which makes it kind of a mini Steam Deck (720p for best performance) for indie games. Low demand games like Hades and runs amazing with games like Dave the Diver running around 40 fps.

I had ROCKNIX booting off the microSD card so it was super slow but people have had better experiences with installing to internal memory but if you need to go back to Android, it might be a bit of work.

Overall, super portable device. Amazing performance and well worth the price of admission.

Micro SD cards are always recommended (Sandisk, Samsung, Lexar, Kingston), but in this case, since they are overpriced, consider the Onn brand from Walmart, the Amazon Basics brand, and Teamgroup, with a capacity of 128 GB 256 GB Or any 512 GB drive that runs A2 category because it's faster at writing and processes games a bit better. Here's a guide from Retro Game Corp on YouTube.

Please do not buy micro SD cards from AliExpress. I've researched them and they are of poor quality and do not provide the advertised memory.

This micro SD card would be perfect for your Retroid Pocket 5

Great device for that price. It bridges the midrange and high-end of Android emulation handhelds. It'll play most PS2 and Gamecube with some upscaling, and even provide some entry to midrange Switch emulation. You can also use Gamehub or Gamenative to emulate some lighter PC games.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / 3 and Dimensity 8300 handhelds will beat it of course, but those are all generally $200+ devices, so the RP5 is a great device in the $150-$175 range.

LOL....You must be new to the emulator world if you think 90% of these manufacturers are worried about Nintendo lawyers.

FWIW, the rule of thumb for games being included seems to be Linux devices almost always ship with umpteen thousand real licensed games, Android handhelds often ship with nothing installed....even emulators. There are a few Linux handheld manufacturers that do shy away from big name Nintendo IP but those are few and far between.

Now, the quality of the rom sets, organization (naming systems mainly), versions, etc is an entirely different discussion.
