The Auracast multi-speaker pairing and IPX5 rating actually make this thing usable in more settings than a typical portable speaker — pool, backyard, garage, whatever.

I have been looking for a speaker for around $80 for some time. Does anyone have an opinion on this? I saw it in the store a couple of months ago and thought it was nice but expensive.

I thought it sounded good, but not worth what it was at the time $149.

For under $80 get the Soundcore Boom 2 it's awesome and the battery life is great! I think they are $75-70 right now

That's actually what I've been wanting, but Amazon never shipped it the last time I ordered it. Soundcore it's actually my go to when it comes to stuff like this, I've been using it since it was just called Anker, in my experience they make quality stuff.

I do like the look and sound of the pioneer, but I'm unsure of their quality.

I have been looking at this at Sam's Club. The sound is great but I have no idea about battery life.

Might be worth snagging one and timing it yourself over a weekend.

Pioneer was a pioneer in making stereos back in the days. But when I saw this abomination in person at Sam's 2 days ago I told myself that some companies cannot walk with time, like Kodak, Polaroid, Blockbuster, etc. The sound quality was not great at all. the handles are weird. The lights look cheap af. I ended up ordering a W-King X20s for $25 more.
