Calls on CMF are superior. Probably because of the 6 mics. Background reduction is okay but about like P30i soundcores. P40s and above were stronger.
Fit matters a lot of cheaper buds for ANC reductions.
I returned the CMF($35 at the time) and I keep the P30i I had($25). Just more comfortable(everyone ear's different).
Though I can't recommend these when Samsung Buds Pro3(white) still selling Best Buy refurbished for around $55-65. Other than case design, there is not buds better for the price that even come close(maybe sony's if you lucky to get extreme sale or deal). I love my Buds Pro3 and will be upgrading to Pro4 when they are discounted under $75 down the road.
Normally I keep my buds for testing but nothing really impressed me about the CMF brand. If soundcore/anker wasn't around then I think they would be top dogs. So great alternative that I think mostly going to come down to ear fit between P30i. They both floating around the same price now of $25 for new. So if you don't have access to Anker or they didn't fit well I would go with these at this price.
Buds Pro3 are my main right now with P30i as my spares if lost.
Community Reviews
CMF Buds 2 come across as a strong budget pick for calls, podcasts, music, and travel, with ANC that punches above its price and a compact case that is easy to carry. The six microphones and app support stand out, including EQ, spatial audio, and customizable tap controls, and the fit is helped by multiple ear tip sizes and an oval-shaped design. The main drawbacks are the awkward double tap for play and pause, plus reports of battery and charging failures after a few weeks. A practical low cost pair if you want solid sound and noise reduction without much worry about loss.
Common Questions (7)
At around $23, they are considered a strong value with good sound, ANC, and a useful app. Soundcore models like the P30i or Liberty 4 can be better for music or overall performance, but the CMF pair is still a solid cheaper option.
Call quality is a strong point: the 6-mic setup can make voices come through clearly, and the earbuds are reported to work well for virtual meetings and work calls. Background reduction is decent, though not class-leading.
The ANC is notably strong for this price range and can cut down airplane noise and general outside noise well. It will not fully block louder, sharper sounds like a crying baby.
Yes, the controls can be changed in the app, including assigning different actions per ear. Single-tap play/pause is not supported; play/pause uses double tap and skip uses triple tap.
The earbuds come with 4 ear-tip sizes and an oval-shaped body that can fit many ears better than round buds. They may still be too large for very small ears, and the tip stem/structure can cause discomfort or an insecure fit for treadmill use.
Battery life is generally reported as good, but real-world use can vary. One work-use report puts it at about 5 hours per charge.
Some units have had charging or battery problems after a short time, including one earbud not charging or the buds not holding a charge after about two weeks. That makes checking return policy and testing them early important.

In terms of sound cancellation, both are good. I stood next to our whole-house fan, and both eliminated all but a slight hiss from the fan, which is quite noisy and rumbly. The CMFs were a tiny bit better, but that might be because they fit my ears better.
The case for the CMF is a bit smaller and lighter. Magnets work well in both cases.
I might end up keeping both, as together they were just over $50.Definitely turning into a budaholic!

Not upgrading—just replacing. Every time I do yard work, I somehow lose a single earbud.
I'm a middle-aged man on my 3rd set in 5 months.
My wife is not impressed.
Help.
I bought the CMF Buds Pro 2 and returned it. My ears are small and even the smallest tips hurt my ear canal in a few minutes of wear. I really wanted to like it. I even tried 3rd party tips and unfortunately it didn't help. My conclusion is the structure that the soft tips go on is just too big for my ears.
