CMF Buds 2 come across as a strong budget pick for calls, podcasts, music, and travel, with ANC that punches above its price and a compact case that is easy to carry. The six microphones and app support stand out, including EQ, spatial audio, and customizable tap controls, and the fit is helped by multiple ear tip sizes and an oval-shaped design. The main drawbacks are the awkward double tap for play and pause, plus reports of battery and charging failures after a few weeks. A practical low cost pair if you want solid sound and noise reduction without much worry about loss.

Common Questions (7)

  • At around $23, they are considered a strong value with good sound, ANC, and a useful app. Soundcore models like the P30i or Liberty 4 can be better for music or overall performance, but the CMF pair is still a solid cheaper option.

  • Call quality is a strong point: the 6-mic setup can make voices come through clearly, and the earbuds are reported to work well for virtual meetings and work calls. Background reduction is decent, though not class-leading.

  • The ANC is notably strong for this price range and can cut down airplane noise and general outside noise well. It will not fully block louder, sharper sounds like a crying baby.

  • Yes, the controls can be changed in the app, including assigning different actions per ear. Single-tap play/pause is not supported; play/pause uses double tap and skip uses triple tap.

  • The earbuds come with 4 ear-tip sizes and an oval-shaped body that can fit many ears better than round buds. They may still be too large for very small ears, and the tip stem/structure can cause discomfort or an insecure fit for treadmill use.

  • Battery life is generally reported as good, but real-world use can vary. One work-use report puts it at about 5 hours per charge.

  • Some units have had charging or battery problems after a short time, including one earbud not charging or the buds not holding a charge after about two weeks. That makes checking return policy and testing them early important.

How are these on an airplane? Too much to ask?
It will drown out airplane noise. It won't drown out a crying baby.

For the price these are good. A little better quality than the Baseus pro on the plastic. They rival it in sound. For the price just get both and compare. The baseus inspire xp1 blows the nothing buds 2 and baseus pro out of the water though.

I have BP1 pro, they are good for the <$20 price tag. They are bass heavy which tends to muddy up the mids.

Am i the only one who loses a single of my top 2 favorite bud pairs and my gym beats at least once a week?! With the locate app n all... They must put something into the manufacturer process.. Like a magic spell
Samsung has "Smart Thing Find" and "Samsung Find". So wouldn't be issue with those. It can find an individual bud.

Uses mix of last ping, GPS and BLE functions.

Cheaper buds just probably not worth developing theses features for.
