The Tineco Floor ONE S5 is a handy wet dry vacuum and mop that cleans hardwood floors well and can be easy to maintain when it is working. It gets praise for strong everyday performance, useful wet cleaning, and long service life in some homes, with customer service also called out positively. The main drawback is reliability, especially battery charging failures, dirty water tank errors, and other wear issues that can make it feel like more hassle than use. Regular cleaning and drying help, but the upkeep is part of the experience.
Common Questions (4)
Several units reportedly stop charging after months or a few years, and some batteries degrade to around 30% or 45% before dying. A replacement battery can cost about $40-$50, and swapping it yourself is possible if you can follow installation videos.
It needs regular cleaning after every use, especially the dirty water tank, brush, and roller, or it can develop odors and performance issues. Leaving the brush damp can cause a wet-laundry smell, so drying it out matters.
An extended warranty is worth considering because multiple units reportedly develop charging failures, dirty-water-tank errors, or broken connector hoses even with normal cleaning. The main long-term risk is reliability rather than cleaning performance.
It is described as a strong hardwood-floor cleaner and a handy wet cleaner for everyday messes. One limitation is that it lacks a suction-only mode, so it is mainly a wet-cleaning machine rather than a dry vacuum replacement.

Easy fix. sometimes you just have to be handy with the vacuums.

I'm glad you're forgiving in thinking that a user has to go through these "fixes" in order for the mop to work properly or as intended. This deal is perfect for you.
PS, thanks for the link. Hope other uses that have this mop finds it useful.

You do need to clean the unit after every usage. And I suggest getting a long nylon straw pipe cleaner to help clean it

Got this in July 2024. And no difference in battery run time
Also, the build quality was fine enough in the beginning but didn't hold up over the years super well. Still fully functional but the attachment point for the long tube wobbles a decent amount. A "you get what you pay for" situation I guess. Good value overall if purchase at a low price point
