This router has been ridden with unresolvable SW issues
Not sure what you mean but mine has been great since launch.
That said, the Flint 2 is arguably better and is about this price directly from the manufacturer. A router is one thing I'm still not super crazy about buying on Ali Express.

Agree. Hardware good, software bad. Liken to beta testing.
They just released fw for flint 2 recently and I'm using it now HOWEVER - the major release before this, for some reason my devices would random drop connection for no reason. I suspect issue with wpa3. Restarting daily may fix this but never figured it out due to having backup tplink router.
I like how open source gl.inet devices are but mega woof at the beta software. The forums are full of people both attempting to help troubleshoot and some smarter people who have fixes.... But those fixes break other stuff. I was in the forums at one time attempting to troubleshoot my own connection issues when flint 2 initially came out. I have not sworn off this company but am very wary due to inconsistent quality with wifi.
That said - is there a fully open source working router that isn't buggy? I'm not sure that exists lol

flint 3 i got to say ya its been kinda rocky.. example guest network was isolated when it wasnt suppose to be.. the latest update did fix this and sure i could of went to luci firewall and address it but yes theres bugs galore in this router.. it works but eh.. 2x2 not 4x4 I wanted a router that supported 6E and 7 which It does but it just isnt that impressive
