Aldi's free blind box giveaway drew heavy traffic and sold out fast, with the main appeal being the surprise box itself. The queue and CAPTCHA process became the story, with waits ranging from a few minutes to nearly 45 minutes before checkout. In many cases the item disappeared from the cart or showed sold out after the wait. The promotion looks extremely limited and frustratingly short lived.
Common Questions (4)
Wait times ranged from under 1 minute to about 45 minutes, with several people seeing 5, 10, 23, 29, and 30+ minute queues. The wait can also reset or increase after CAPTCHA, which makes reaching checkout unlikely.
Yes. The blind box repeatedly sold out the same day, often within minutes of noon, and many carts were emptied before checkout completed. If the queue is more than a few minutes, it can end in sold out.
Yes. CAPTCHA can add enough delay to push the checkout wait into the sold-out window, and the queue can keep changing while you wait.
Not always. The box can disappear from the cart before checkout finishes, even after claiming it and completing CAPTCHA, so adding it does not guarantee you can buy it.

I've been through these queue lines before.IIf ts anything more than a few minutes it will say sold out afterwards. We are waiting for nothing.
My estimated wait time was 16 minutes and got all the way down to under 1 minute and then reset to 29 minutes. What a joke
