I chose these because:
- They cover both smoke and CO
- They use photoelectric sensors which should be more accurate
- They are networked
- They should be easier to silence false alarms because they announce which room is the culprit
- These Costco 2-packs INCLUDE the adapters to connect to my old Firex and Kidde installations
- The backup batteries aren't Lithium Ion, but at least they are cheap and accessible AAs
- This deal is significantly cheaper than anything else with comparable features
