The GameSir Nova Lite is a compact tri mode controller that stands out for its value, travel friendly hard shell case, and solid feel for the price. It works with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS, and the included dongle can pair uniquely so multiple controllers can share one PC without conflict. Setup is straightforward, with Switch recognizing it as a Pro controller and mode changes remembered after switching. The main caveat is that it has no gyro or motion controls, and wireless polling is limited to 250Hz. A strong budget pick if you want a small, versatile pad and can live without motion support.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, it comes with a hard-shell case and a USB dongle, with the case including a dedicated spot for the dongle. The case is repeatedly described as useful for travel and for keeping the dongle from getting lost.
Yes, purchases from the official GameSir store on AliExpress are reported as legitimate, with fast shipping from California or within the US. Buyers also reported receiving the controller in about a week.
No gyro or motion controls are reported on this model, so it is not a good choice if you want Switch motion aiming or tilt steering. It can still connect and be recognized as a Pro controller, but Mario Kart motion steering did not work.
It supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless dongle, and wired use, and can be switched between DS4/Dinput and Xinput modes. On PC it may default to a PS5-style controller, and a firmware downgrade via the GameSir Android app can make it show up as an Xbox controller.
It is reported to work well for PC gaming, including Cuphead with no noticeable input lag. One caveat is that wireless mode is reported at 250Hz polling rate.
