This an amazing deal for an amazing printer. I bought one for work and don't need multicolor feature. We do need different filament materials for different applications and AMS is a nice convenience that we miss, however at this price, I would get 1 or two more, stack them on top of each other for each material.

Don't know. Staff posted. It was price a reduction. Didn't last long, night to morning. But people got to sleep so they can work to pay for stuff.

2 years ago I bought it for $240 which was a great price. It was going for $300+ (actual prices, not MSRP) when it was new.

Pulled the trigger on this one, after comparing this, Kobra X, CC1, and others. I used to own a Creality Ender 3 V3 (not KE, SE, etc.), which had good prints, same 220mm^3 size, but not a CoreXY. My use case is to print functional parts (battery adapters, brackets, cases, etc.) with PETG and internal car parts with ASA. At some point will likely do PETG-CF. My use case does not include cute, colorful, baby Yoda prints. This FF 5M is the right size, wallet friendly, and can add a DIY case for ASA prints with my own HEPA/Carbon filtration. Can't wait to get it. I'll use its own cardboard box initially to provide draft cover for printing PETG.

Kingroon petg 10 pack multicolor about $50 from Aliexpress cheapest per roll when on sale. I bought 10 pack pla too but found petg to be more useful. Or get both, so you can learn as you go.

PLA is easiest to print. No drying required. More importantly, learn how to use your slicer software (Orcaslider or Flashprint). Understand infills, supports, brim, speed and temp. Key to quality prints is fine-tuned G-Code, which come from optimized slicer settings. You may find that different internal lattice structure may yield a print with good strength, without using a lot of filament.
