honestly think part of their strategy is to offer these deals and count on customers forgetting to cancel. it's been a while, but customer service was of no help getting a refund, unlike apple and hulu

They never got me. I always make a note of when to cancel for any free subs. Maybe their operating cost is low cause they don't create much content. It's mostly old shows they have.

Paramount+ is mostly known for new programming. Since I prefer old shows, I don't use it for that - I go to pluto or tubi (both are free).
