The 30 ounce Owala FreeSip Sway stands out for its flexible drink lid, letting you sip through the built in straw or take a bigger gulp through the wide mouth opening. The handle and lock toggle make it easier to carry, and the design is easier to take apart and clean with fewer spots that trap mold. The Beach House color is the main deal price here, with Putting Green also matching it, while other colors run higher. The bottle can dent easily and the top heavy shape may tip over, so it feels best suited to careful everyday use.
People who like a color-specific buy, because the listed price is especially attractive when you want that exact finish.
The deal is tied to specific colors, with Beach House called out as the main one and Putting Green also listed at $27.99. Other colors are reported around $35 to $44, so the discount is strongest if you want one of the marked colors.
Yes, the stainless steel body can dent easily, especially if it is shipped without padding or carried around a lot. A silicone boot can help protect it from dents.
This model uses external lid threads instead of the original's internal threads, so lids may not be interchangeable. It also has a lock/unlock toggle and a larger handle that makes it easier to carry.
The design is easier to take apart and clean, with fewer areas that can trap mold. That makes maintenance simpler than bottles with more hidden crevices.
How do these compare to the regular owolas? We have a bunch of them and love them, are these any better?
The handle is better since it doesn't have to be smaller to cover up the button. It has a toggle to lock and unlock to keep it closed. I think it's nicer to carry around just because of the handle. But otherwise it's pretty similar.

Not only this, but IMO the design is better at not having areas that can trap mold as easily. Easier to take apart and clean.
In just got the 40 oz, it's barely taller than my 40oz takeya but its massive because it's top heavy, still getting used to it but I might have went for the 30 if I saw the size in person. I do really like the wide opening for filing though
Same reservations here about 40 oz sway (my first owala). Concerned it may fall out of cupholder on my elliptical. Also the metal does feel kind of delicate, and insulation not as good as my Simple Modern 32 oz summit (which has taken a beating over 5 years but barely has scratches and dents, considering.).

People who want a bottle with a straw and a wide-mouth opening, because the FreeSip lid lets you sip or take bigger drinks from the same bottle.
People who carry a bottle by the handle, because the lock toggle keeps the lid closed and the handle is easier to hold.
People who want an easy-to-clean insulated bottle, because the design has fewer mold-trapping spots and comes apart easily.
People who need a bottle that resists dents, because the stainless steel shell can dent easily with normal handling.
People who want a bottle that stays upright on its own, because the top-heavy shape tips over easily.
People who need dependable cupholder fit, because the shape may not sit securely in some holders.
People expecting interchangeable lids with older versions, because this model uses external threads instead of internal threads.
