You are 100% correct as I saw several other posters mention they called Amazon for a price match and they were told that. $550 a MacBook was definitely not intentional. I just feel lucky I snagged one the last time that happened!

Idk why the downvotes on this post. It's really unhelpful. Was the price a mistake or not? Are people downvoting mad because they missed out on the price or saying that you're wrong?

Yeah, what I stated was an objective fact so not sure why I get the downvotes that maybe were meant for Amazon? From what I got on here and Reddit, form multiple users, it seems this sporadic pricing on a couple models of MacBook Air is highly regional (particularly to the Northeast, where I am) and also not intentional. Probably just butthurt they missed out. I've missed plenty of incredible deals over the years on here (mostly due to slow alerts from SD) but it is what it is and YMMV of course.
Are there no 24 GB memory, 512 GB SSD Macbook Airs? That's kind of a bummer, because I'd def jump on one of those. A $400 difference btw 16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD vs 24 GB RAM/1 TB SSD, makes that 24 GB option not a Slickdeal enough for me. Not sure...Is 24 GB excessive for my purposes compared to 16 GB memory, if I mainly web browse (but keep a lot of tabs open), stream movies/Netflix/etc, use Google Cloud/LLMs now? I have a workhorse M1, 8 GB memory, 256 GB SSD Macbook Air from 2021 that's getting a little full/slow nowadays. Tempted to just wait til BF a few months away, if there are going to be better deals on that 24 GB one

I can tell you that a customized 13" M5 MacBook Air from Apple w/ 24GB RAM & 512GB SSD is $1299. So on the bright side, if you take the Amazon deal it's only $50 more for double the storage space and maybe a pinch more resale value someday.
