This is a compact 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner with a remote, best suited for a bedroom, garage, porch, or other single room where floor space is tight. It can cool a room enough to be livable, and the smaller footprint is a real plus compared with bulkier dual hose units. The main tradeoffs are the single hose design, which is less efficient and can pull in warm air, plus frequent condensate draining and noticeable noise. Fit and reliability concerns also came up, including awkward window installation and reports of units failing after months.
Common Questions (5)
It is a single-hose portable AC, which means it exhausts indoor air through the hose and can pull replacement air in through cracks and openings. That design is less efficient than dual-hose units, but it can still cool a room well for temporary or supplemental use.
It can cool a bedroom or enclosed room effectively, with reports of bedrooms staying around 60-65°F in 85-90°F weather and an enclosed porch becoming livable. In a garage or other leaky, uninsulated space, it may still work but can run nearly constantly and may not reach the same temperature.
Yes. Single-hose portable units can build up condensate and may shut off when the tank is full, so draining is part of normal upkeep. Some users also note dehumidify mode requires drainage, and one workaround is drilling a small drain hole in the case if you know where to avoid internal components.
Portable single-hose units are commonly described as loud, and the compressor being inside the room makes them noisier than window or mini-split options. Some users still use them in bedrooms, but others switched to window units because of the noise.
The promo code has been reported as working at checkout, with some buyers getting about $120 off. A later comment also notes the base price rose to $239.99 and the code was not accepted for at least one attempt, so checkout may vary by timing.

Been there, done that in Florida with portables. Even dual hose units struggle to keep the room cool. Put a mini split in, and unbelievable how much better they are compared to portables. Put in a second mini split. I'm thinking to put mini splits in every room and only spot cool as needed. I have two central ac units and electric bill is off the charts from those. Cooling a home that most rooms are empty.

I'll tell you. It comes from the room where the air conditioner is. And where do you think that air comes from? It comes from the outside as the air conditioner sucks air into the room so it can blow air over the condenser and the Freon loses heat and then gets exhausted to the outside

Those giant dual hose exhausts are pretty ugly and block half my window.

*Why did I get a thumbs down vote for asking a question?
Especially if you live in a warm climate.
negative pressure sucks in all the HOT humid air from all the the gaps.
also 65 dB (standard) loud as heck.
I have an attached garage with new insulated impact rated doors.
It's easier and faster to open my house door for 5 minutes
instead of running a noisy crappy unit like this for several hours.
I tried it and was absolutely horrible.
Gave it to my neighbor and WARNED him how bad. he tried it and agreed.
