This is a compact 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner with a remote, best suited for a bedroom, garage, porch, or other single room where floor space is tight. It can cool a room enough to be livable, and the smaller footprint is a real plus compared with bulkier dual hose units. The main tradeoffs are the single hose design, which is less efficient and can pull in warm air, plus frequent condensate draining and noticeable noise. Fit and reliability concerns also came up, including awkward window installation and reports of units failing after months.
Common Questions (5)
It is a single-hose portable AC, which means it exhausts indoor air through the hose and can pull replacement air in through cracks and openings. That design is less efficient than dual-hose units, but it can still cool a room well for temporary or supplemental use.
It can cool a bedroom or enclosed room effectively, with reports of bedrooms staying around 60-65°F in 85-90°F weather and an enclosed porch becoming livable. In a garage or other leaky, uninsulated space, it may still work but can run nearly constantly and may not reach the same temperature.
Yes. Single-hose portable units can build up condensate and may shut off when the tank is full, so draining is part of normal upkeep. Some users also note dehumidify mode requires drainage, and one workaround is drilling a small drain hole in the case if you know where to avoid internal components.
Portable single-hose units are commonly described as loud, and the compressor being inside the room makes them noisier than window or mini-split options. Some users still use them in bedrooms, but others switched to window units because of the noise.
The promo code has been reported as working at checkout, with some buyers getting about $120 off. A later comment also notes the base price rose to $239.99 and the code was not accepted for at least one attempt, so checkout may vary by timing.

I have one of similar ones in a condo and used previously a similar one in another location (seems like they're all the same with different random "brand names" but are probably manufactured at the same plant.
If you're uncontrollably deranged about the "negative pressure" but your brain is not completely dead yet and you have manual skills and hand coordination of at least a 8 y.o. nothing is stopping you from taping a hose to the unit intake and sticking it out of the window. Little arts and crafts project a kindergartener can do.
I usually install them in an adjacent room and pipe the air into the room I want (the bedroom) through a decorative hole in the wall mostly to avoid the noise. I split the hose with a Y so it can also cool the room it's in. It's a simple mod. The effect of negative pressure is minuscule compared to amount of cold air it pumps out. My 200 sq ft bedroom gets down to low 60s with 85-90F ambient temp. My condo is on the top floor and has a flat roof so heat is an issue but this kind of AC does a perfectly acceptable job.
So screeching pseudoscience morons can spend 10x more for dual hose ACs but normal people will be perfectly happy with this kinda unit. It just works.
Single hose will pull hot air into the room. That big exhaust hose gets hot. If it is not short and insulated, some of the heat you are trying to remove gets dumped right back inside.
It will use a lot of power for what you actually get.
A 10,000 BTU portable AC may pull roughly 900–1,200 watts while running, but because it is single-hose, the real cooling effect is much less than a window unit or mini split using similar power.
Much better off just getting a window unit OR a DUAL HOSE ... and no they are not 10X the price BUT they ARE 10X the results ...

What "10x the results" would I possibly expect to get?
The "Negative Pressure" Problem: Because the unit is constantly shoving indoor air outside, it creates a vacuum (negative pressure) in your room. To replace that lost air, hot air from outside or from other rooms gets sucked in through cracks under doors, around windows, and through wall gaps.

The air conditioner probably weighs 50 or 60 pounds, a 2000 watt-hour power station about that weight as well.
