This is a compact 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner with a remote, best suited for a bedroom, garage, porch, or other single room where floor space is tight. It can cool a room enough to be livable, and the smaller footprint is a real plus compared with bulkier dual hose units. The main tradeoffs are the single hose design, which is less efficient and can pull in warm air, plus frequent condensate draining and noticeable noise. Fit and reliability concerns also came up, including awkward window installation and reports of units failing after months.

  • The unit can shut off when the humidity tank is full, so draining the condensate helps keep cooling running.

  • The remote control adds convenience by letting you adjust temperature without repeatedly getting up.

  • The single-hose design can still cool a single room effectively when positioned near a window.

  • The smaller footprint can help when floor space is limited, such as in a camper setup.

  • The unit can require frequent condensate draining, and some setups may need a pedestal for clearance.

  • The single-hose portable design can create negative pressure that draws warm air into the house through gaps.

  • The exhaust hose placement can limit flexibility, so furniture like a bed may prevent proper positioning under the window.

  • The unit may develop musty or mildew odor during operation even after cleaning residue from the output nozzles.

Wow the "single hose" hysteria is really strong here.
I have one of similar ones in a condo and used previously a similar one in another location (seems like they're all the same with different random "brand names" but are probably manufactured at the same plant.
If you're uncontrollably deranged about the "negative pressure" but your brain is not completely dead yet and you have manual skills and hand coordination of at least a 8 y.o. nothing is stopping you from taping a hose to the unit intake and sticking it out of the window. Little arts and crafts project a kindergartener can do.
I usually install them in an adjacent room and pipe the air into the room I want (the bedroom) through a decorative hole in the wall mostly to avoid the noise. I split the hose with a Y so it can also cool the room it's in. It's a simple mod. The effect of negative pressure is minuscule compared to amount of cold air it pumps out. My 200 sq ft bedroom gets down to low 60s with 85-90F ambient temp. My condo is on the top floor and has a flat roof so heat is an issue but this kind of AC does a perfectly acceptable job.
So screeching pseudoscience morons can spend 10x more for dual hose ACs but normal people will be perfectly happy with this kinda unit. It just works.
With a single hose the real cooling is not 10,000 BTU but more like around 6,000–7,000 BTU

Single hose will pull hot air into the room. That big exhaust hose gets hot. If it is not short and insulated, some of the heat you are trying to remove gets dumped right back inside.

It will use a lot of power for what you actually get.

A 10,000 BTU portable AC may pull roughly 900–1,200 watts while running, but because it is single-hose, the real cooling effect is much less than a window unit or mini split using similar power.

Much better off just getting a window unit OR a DUAL HOSE ... and no they are not 10X the price BUT they ARE 10X the results ...

Maybe. With ambient temp of 85-90F so far it keep my bedroom at 63-65F when set on medium (60-62F when set to high).

What "10x the results" would I possibly expect to get?

Why is the double hose better. What is the second hose for if the first one's heat exhaust?
Single hose uses some of the cold air from the unit to expel the hot air the unit creates via the condenser. A 2 hose unit sucks air from outside pushing it across the condenser coils and out thus avoiding using the cooled air for discharging the hot air. So it really boils down to saving money. If you rely on the AC unit for cooling a room 24/7 then get the 2 hose. In roughly about 6 months it will pay off. If only using as a backup if your unit fails until a repair. Save some money get the single hose.

The "Negative Pressure" Problem: Because the unit is constantly shoving indoor air outside, it creates a vacuum (negative pressure) in your room. To replace that lost air, hot air from outside or from other rooms gets sucked in through cracks under doors, around windows, and through wall gaps.

The second hose avoids using the cold air created by the unit to push out the heated air it removed. It has an inline fan that sucks air from outside through one hose and ejecting it through another.

Tell me not to waste my money if it just won't work/isn't worth the hassle.

Swim meets suck.
Pop up tent.
Vinyl walls.
Beefy portable battery?
One of these?

So assuming this thing draws something like 1150 watts, and ballparking overall efficiency (inverter etc.) at 85%, a 2,000 watt-hour power station (around $800+), would run it for about an hour and a half.

The air conditioner probably weighs 50 or 60 pounds, a 2000 watt-hour power station about that weight as well.

Having a remote control makes a huge difference for these units so you don't have to keep getting up to adjust the temperature.

In for 2, Blackrock buying utility companies and raising residential electric bills by 2-300% to provide it cheap to data centers. Might as well turn off central AC.
Evansville/IN/Centerpoint Energy
Unfortunately in the Midwest, it's like that. Electric bill for two people exceeding $650/month now. Small house. Electric company says "Yeah, that's just how much you're using." WHAT!
