The digital eBook version of Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy is on sale for $2.99 from the following vendors:---

Description
One of The Atlantic's "Great American Novels of the Past 100 Years," now with a new foreword by Marlon James

Widely considered one of the finest novels by a living writer, Blood Meridian is an epic tale of the violence and corruption that attended America's westward expansion, brilliantly subverting the conventions of the Western novel and the mythology of the "Wild West." Its wounded hero, the Kid, a fourteen-year-old Tennessean, must confront the extraordinary brutality of the Glanton gang, a murderous cadre on an official mission to scalp Indians. Seeming to preside over this nightmarish world is the diabolical Judge Holden, one of the most unforgettable characters in American fiction.

Based on historical events that took place on the Texas-Mexico border in the 1850s, Blood Meridian represents a genius vision of the historical West, one whose stature has only grown in the years since its publication.

small nitpick, the author doesn't show up when you download it to your kindle. if you sort your books by author, this one is just at the top of the list with no author
it's just annoying to buy an ebook from the actual legitimate publisher and have basic formatting issues you don't see vs if you just find a free file online somewhere

Very good, if you're ok with it being relentlessly dark. Liked the ending...author did not cop out there as he did with the otherwise-excellent The Road with its deux ex machina ending.

Glad to see all of the book influencers are making books popular again. Most of y'all wouldn't even know who the author is without hearing about this book from Man Carrying Thing or whatever subreddit he makes his videos with.

I'm always curious about this and I like McCarthy's writing but the darkness and despair here just keep me away. Hell, even music inspired by it leads me into a dark patch. And I like that too!
