We switched from a flaking HexClad pan to a stainless steel All-Clad and were super happy with it, but we haven't quite bit the bullet on replacing everything due to the cost of All-Clad. How would Calphalon compare?

Calphalon is terrible quality now, I would avoid. Got this from Costco for $99 and returned it. I had nothing but issues with things sticking. I went back to my German made stainless steel set that I have had for over 10 years. WMF brand.

This Calphalon set is perfect for modern living. People on the move want disposable re-heatware that they can leave on the curb when the lease is up. With falling energy costs the trend is moving back to the traditional American pan. Energy-efficient cookware makes little sense. The roll-back in grocery price makes it easy to throw away burned food and start over.

I had a set of Calphalon Commercial hard anodized which were used all the time, and eventually the skillets warped. They had a "lifetime warranty," but what that really meant was that they replaced the skillets with some terrible, cheap non-stick garbage instead of a similar product. When I complained, customer service stopped responding. Terrible company. I would avoid at all costs. Calphalon was bought by Newell Brands and has been getting worse since then.
