This restored Midea Duo portable air conditioner is valued for strong cooling, dual hose efficiency, inverter operation, and the ability to handle large rooms without breaker trips. Several units arrived looking new and worked well for months, with some cooling quickly and running quietly enough to be tolerable. The main drawback is inconsistent refurb quality, with reports of missing adapters, remotes, wheels, dirty hoses, error codes, and even full water buckets on arrival. Warranty and returns also appear limited, so the savings come with real condition and support risk.
Some restored units arrive looking new with spotless filters and included accessories.
Some units cool quickly after setup and can run for dozens of uses without further issues.
The dual-hose portable design can deliver real cooling compared with single-hose portable units.
The inverter behavior can help avoid breaker trips when running other electronics on the same circuit.
Missing window adapters and other accessories can require extra parts or workarounds before installation.
Refurbished coverage can be limited to a 90-day return-to-store policy with poor support for parts or repairs.
Restored purchases can be a crapshoot, with units arriving with issues or missing parts.
Some units show error codes like P1 or EC54 and may require troubleshooting or returns.

Walmart, 90 day return, returnable to store.
I'd rather take a 90 day return to Walmart option over shipping it back to Midea, even without a 2 year warranty.
However if you have the option of using a window unit, 100% absolutely definitely get the Midea U-shaped window A/C's. Those are basically mini-splits for your window and are the absolute best outside of a real, dedicated heatpump install.
Going to try my luck with the ebay hisense 8000 BTU for $200 because this unit was also simply too big for my small room

Not sure why they're allowed to market these as "Like New" condition and claim that all accessories are included when the QC is as poor as it is.
