SToK Espresso Coffee Shots are a coffee concentrate meant to boost regular coffee with extra caffeine and an espresso-like kick. The shots are described as barely noticeable in a standard cup, and they can help strengthen weak drip coffee without needing much creamer. The main knocks are the added corn syrup and sweetness, which make the ingredient list feel unnecessary, and drinking them straight is described as unpleasant. A practical add-in if you want more caffeine in your coffee.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. The ingredient list includes corn syrup, and the shots are described as sweeter than necessary for a coffee booster. That sweetness is part of why some people avoid them, especially if they want an unsweetened espresso-style add-in.
They are meant to be mixed into regular coffee as a caffeine boost, not treated like a standalone drink. The shots are described as a cold-brew coffee concentrate with added caffeine, and drinking them straight is reported to be unpleasant.
You can, but it is reported to taste gross straight and is better used as an add-in to coffee. Some people do drink them straight for a quick energy jolt, but the intended use is to boost a cup of drip coffee.
They can be barely noticeable in a standard cup of coffee while still adding caffeine. The flavor impact is described as small enough that they mainly act as a boost rather than a strong flavor change.

Update: The last time I bought these was 2012. After reading reviews and thinking about it, there are times when my wife makes a pot of drip and it's unbelievably weak. This might help keep the peace. I know I'm crazy because I'm going to try them again.
No creamer but you'll likely need it.
